Canile Di Vignate

Very bad experience: if they don't know how to deal with humans, I wonder what feelings they treat animals with. I take care of a young stray cat that I recently welcomed and microchipped. A few days ago he returned injured in his thigh: between the vet, various injections, collars... €100 in expenses. For the first two days I treated it with healing ointment: 3 applications a day. Then… one sunny morning, while I was at work, the cat managed to evade my son's surveillance and disappeared. That same afternoon, by telephone, I was informed in rather peremptory terms, by a man who didn't even introduce himself (!), that if within 20 minutes I had not collected the cat at that address (less than 100 meters from my house), the cat he would spend the night at the municipal cattery in the nearby town, 5 km from my house. Unfortunately I wasn't at home and I couldn't have picked up the cat for an hour and a half. The following day (today!) not only do I learn that this feline escape will cost me another €80: as if it were a night in a 3-star hotel. And not only will he not have had the buffet breakfast: although he was visited by a vet, he did not consider doing any medication since I declared that I will go and collect him today, in the afternoon, i.e. after work. Outraged, I ask myself: is this "love for animals" or a way of guaranteeing a "permanent job" to those who work without ethical value? I've already given myself the answer! 😡

We brought our dog Sheila in for the first time last Saturday and picked her up this morning. Excellent place, very clean and tidy, friendly and dog-loving staff. We found Sheila very calm and relaxed and I highly recommend her to anyone who for some reason needs to leave their furry friend and feel really calm. Thanks to all of you at the shelter also from Sheila!

I adopted all my dogs from the Vignate shelter: Riky in 2007, Marcello in 2021 and Roy in 2023 and I couldn't have made a better choice! I turned to the same shelter because the volunteers are very kind and helpful; the dogs are fed, cleaned, cared for and pampered in the best way while waiting for a permanent home and family. If you are looking for company, adoption is always the best choice and the Vignate kennel is the ideal place to turn to!
